Job Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Trade Chef qualification
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate within the last 5 years
- Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare or similar high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and cook/chill processes
- Ability to accurately read and follow recipes
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and present hot and cold dishes for patients and buffets to a high standard
- Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and cooking methods to maintain quality
- Support stock control, labelling, and food safety procedures to minimise waste
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work area, using cleaning products correctly
- Ensure kitchen equipment is in good working order and report faults promptly
- Adhere to Mater's Food Safety Plan and workplace health and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively to meet service timeframes and performance targets
