Mater Private Hospital Redlands is a well-established healthcare facility located in the Cleveland suburb of Brisbane's Bayside community. Job Requirements

  • Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Trade Chef qualification
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate within the last 5 years
  • Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare or similar high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong understanding of HACCP principles and cook/chill processes
  • Ability to accurately read and follow recipes
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present hot and cold dishes for patients and buffets to a high standard
  • Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and cooking methods to maintain quality
  • Support stock control, labelling, and food safety procedures to minimise waste
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work area, using cleaning products correctly
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is in good working order and report faults promptly
  • Adhere to Mater's Food Safety Plan and workplace health and safety guidelines
  • Work collaboratively to meet service timeframes and performance targets
