Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous work experience in a restaurant as a Chef/Line Cook
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 100%
- Must pass pre-employment background check including employment verification and criminal history check
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening in compliance with DOT regulations
- Willingness to comply with safety-sensitive duties regulations
- Ability to perform physical kitchen duties
- Must comply with Amtrak’s drug-free workplace policies
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of FDA sanitation regulations and food safety standards
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen

Job Duties
- Prepare full-course meals for Amtrak passengers
- Assist with all phases of meal preparations
- Wash all items used in the preparation of meals in compliance with FDA sanitation regulations and standards
- Complete all end-point duties
- Assist with loading, unloading, verification, handling and storage of all food and service products
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and lower level of the dining car
- Provide necessary supplies and items on the current menu to servers
