Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years relevant culinary or kitchen management experience
- Experience working in a hotel or large-scale restaurant setting
- Proven ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Culinary education desirable
- Minimum five years employment in a three meal per day restaurant environment
- Experience in hotel operations preferred
- Advanced knowledge of food profession principles and management
- Familiarity with marketing plans, security, safety, labor relations, and budget forecasting
- Strong leadership and staff development skills
- Ability to perform under time constraints and deadlines
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
Job Duties
- Work collaboratively to improve guest experience and operational effectiveness
- Develop and implement menus in coordination with corporate chefs
- Document recipes and cooking techniques according to company standards
- Train employees to achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, and cleanliness
- Manage kitchen operations including staffing, equipment, and sanitation
- Mentor and develop staff with ongoing educational opportunities
- Participate actively in management meetings to address food handling, financials, and staffing issues
- Enforce company policies and health regulations rigorously
- Supervise HOH teams and ensure quality standards are met
- Monitor food preparation and product consistency
- Provide educational classes for FOH staff
- Maintain cleanliness and equipment functionality
- Oversee purchasing, deliveries, and inventory control
- Expedite service ensuring timely and quality food delivery
- Reconcile food inventory and submit accurate financial reports
- Manage scheduling and labor cost objectives
- Prepare all required organizational paperwork promptly
- Foster teamwork and communication between FOH and BOH
- Model core values and uphold integrity
- Promote a respectful and growth-oriented work culture
- Take ownership of performance and inspire innovation
