Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least three years of culinary management experience
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage inventory and purchasing
- passion for sustainability
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- proficiency in menu development and cost control
- willingness to undergo ServSafe certification if not already certified
Job Qualifications
- working knowledge of HACCP
- minimum three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings
- strong expertise in food and catering trends including quality control, sanitation, food cost management, and presentation
- experience with exposition cooking
- knowledge of P&L accountability
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- managing full culinary operations including inventory, ordering, and receiving
- developing menus with a focus on local food sourcing
- controlling food costs and managing purchasing
- ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards
- leading and developing the culinary team
- monitoring quality, production, and food presentation
- applying knowledge of P&L accountability
- fostering sustainability practices in the kitchen
