Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of relevant culinary management experience
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to kitchen operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP
  • Experience in contract foodservice or similar environments
  • Ability to manage budgets and inventory effectively
  • Commitment to sustainability practices

Job Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of HACCP
  • Minimum three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings
  • Familiarity with inventory and purchasing controls
  • Extensive knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Experience with exposition cooking
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service is desirable
  • ServSafe certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Manage full culinary operations including inventory, ordering, and receiving
  • Oversee menu development, cost control, and purchasing with attention to local food sourcing
  • Lead and inspire the culinary team to deliver high-quality meals
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards including HACCP protocols
  • Maintain P&L accountability and manage contract service operations
  • Implement sustainability initiatives within the food service program
  • Collaborate with school district leaders to enhance the dining experience
