Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in food service management or hospitality
- minimum two years of experience in food production/service and supervision
- certified dietary manager (CDM) or equivalent certification preferred
- must obtain food protection manager (FPM) certification within 14 days
- must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within 60 days
- strong communication skills
- compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
- ability to lift/carry 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods
- perform repetitive tasks
- work around food and cleaning products
- basic computer skills
- may complete sanitation and safety course
- residency within service area required
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred
- two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred or as required by law
- must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within 14 days of employment
- must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within 60 days
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- positive attitude and effective communication with occupants, administration, and leadership
- compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
- basic computer skills for record keeping and web-based reporting
- may be required to complete sanitation and safety courses
- residency within service area required
Job Duties
- Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards
- maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software
- conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions
- perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed
- communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff
- use protective gear and ensure safe mixing and use of cleaning solutions
- follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing procedures
- maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and task completion
- represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions
- perform all other assigned duties
