Job Requirements

  • minimum education requirement - high school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • minimum management experience - 1 year
  • prior food production experience with restaurants and/or healthcare food service
  • knowledge of special diets is helpful
  • experience supervising and training cooks
  • strong computer skills
  • enthusiasm for working with diverse populations
  • positive and detail-oriented attitude

Job Qualifications

  • experience supervising and training cooks with exceptional human resource and supervisory skillset

Job Duties

  • oversee the daily kitchen operations including menu planning and food ordering
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
  • be hands on and have the ability and willingness to develop and train employees
  • have knowledge of Food Management Systems/software is preferred
  • supervise and support kitchen staff to maintain high standards
  • manage inventory and control food costs
  • maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment
