Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of management experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience managing a team
  • Preferred certification as CDM or Diet Tech
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Experience managing a team, preferably in a union environment
  • Preferred certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Diet Tech
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead food service operations
  • Experience in hospital or high-volume institutional food service

Job Duties

  • Manage all facets of food service operations independently at the behavioral health location including serving line and patient tray service
  • Oversee food production ensuring high quality, consistency, and compliance with dietary and safety standards
  • Directly manage a team of approximately 10 union employees focusing on training, scheduling, and performance management
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation (HACCP), and regulatory standards
  • Serve as the on-site operational point of contact ensuring client needs and patient satisfaction
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment
  • Translate operational goals into outstanding patient and staff outcomes
