Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year management experience
- Minimum 2 years culinary experience in high-volume environment
- Ability to obtain ServSafe certification if not current
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Experience with food safety protocols
- Must be able to work full-time
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years culinary experience in high-volume setting
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Culinary degree or degree in Food Service Management preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience in hospital or healthcare food service a plus
- Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a culinary management team
Job Duties
- Oversee daily culinary preparation and execution for patient services, retail venues, and catering events
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
- Enforce HACCP, ServSafe, and Sodexo food safety and sanitation protocols
- Manage, coach, schedule, and develop culinary staff
- Collaborate with Executive Chef and Retail Chef Manager on inventory, food costs, and labor efficiency
- Ensure menu adherence including therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions
- Manage ordering, receiving, and storage of food and supplies minimizing waste
