Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year management experience
  • Minimum 2 years culinary experience in high-volume environment
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe certification if not current
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience with food safety protocols
  • Must be able to work full-time

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years culinary experience in high-volume setting
  • Prior supervisory or management experience
  • Culinary degree or degree in Food Service Management preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience in hospital or healthcare food service a plus
  • Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a culinary management team

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily culinary preparation and execution for patient services, retail venues, and catering events
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste
  • Enforce HACCP, ServSafe, and Sodexo food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Manage, coach, schedule, and develop culinary staff
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef and Retail Chef Manager on inventory, food costs, and labor efficiency
  • Ensure menu adherence including therapeutic diets and dietary restrictions
  • Manage ordering, receiving, and storage of food and supplies minimizing waste
