Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years of sous chef or comparable experience
  • experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant
  • ServSafe certification
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • proficiency with back office and POS systems
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and extended shifts
  • ability to manage a large team
  • high level of organization and multitasking ability
  • professional appearance and demeanor
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • commitment to company policies and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of sous chef or comparable experience in full-service, high-volume restaurant
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • experience with back office and POS systems such as Restaurant 365, Hot Schedules, and Micros
  • advanced organizational skills
  • culinary arts degree is a plus
  • bilingual is a plus
  • ServSafe certified
  • strong knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Coordinates, leads, and directs line cooks, prep cooks, and utility team members
  • trains and validates all new cooks and provides ongoing coaching to existing cooks
  • partners with the Executive Chef, GM, and FOH Managers on training and educating team members
  • ensures 100% recipe adherence by all team members
  • holds team accountability to company policies and procedures
  • implements and enforces strict safety and sanitation standards
  • leads the implementation of the HACCP plan and ensures compliance
  • maintains clear communication with the Executive Chef, GM, and Corporate Chef
  • assists Executive Chef in managing food cost to goal
  • manages controllable costs
  • assists with culinary back-office accounting and scheduling
  • performs accurate inventories and communicates food cost issues
  • conducts line and quality checks to ensure food quality and proper kitchen setup
  • enforces proper image and appearance guidelines among team members
