Job Requirements

  • must be able to stand for long periods of time up to 12 hours or longer with scheduled breaks
  • must be capable of short and long-distance walking
  • able to use stairs and step stools
  • physical ability to push and pull carts weighing on average 50lbs
  • ability to operate kitchen machinery
  • lift an average weight of 25lbs with a maximum of 50lbs, assistance required for weights over 50lbs
  • frequent reaching below waist to above shoulder with neck, back and torso twisting
  • perform repetitive wrist movements and finger manipulation over long shifts
  • ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms
  • communicate effectively in English both written and oral
  • must have good vision to read small text for inspection
  • tolerate exposure to extreme hot and cold environments
  • capacity to work rotational schedules
  • navigate safely in small and congested areas
  • occasional exposure to elevated noise
  • must be willing to travel and work long rotations
  • pass background check and urine analysis
  • own transportation to and from the facility

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 1 year culinary experience preferably in remote camp or hotel hospitality industries or equivalent
  • valid ServSafe certification
  • ability to read and write in English
  • ability to work within a team environment
  • strong prioritization and time management skills
  • ability to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision
  • willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home

Job Duties

  • maintain a safety culture by following all SOPs, JSAs, policies and procedures
  • safely operate kitchen equipment including grills, slicers, tilt skillets, deep fryers and convection ovens
  • ensure proper food storage, rotation and discard expired food following HACCP and FIFO guidelines
  • prepare meals on the line, grill oven and fryers
  • serve guests and check for meal scans
  • serve all foods in accordance to HACCP and food safety standards
  • ensure proper utensils are used for serving, portion control and sanitation
  • provide world-class customer service to guests
  • attend all safety meetings and participate in emergency response procedures
  • perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
