Job Duties

  • Supervises, coordinates and participates in cooking and food preparation activities
  • Ensures all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
  • Manages hiring, scheduling, payroll, training and counseling of kitchen associates
  • Prepares food items following standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules
  • Ensures proper food presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
  • Tracks food inventory, waste and consumption for requisition or purchase
  • Inspects incoming product and supplies for quality and quantity
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and workstations
  • Assists in selecting and developing recipes and menus
  • Performs other duties as assigned
