- minimum of three years of quantity restaurant or corporate dining experience
- knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- ability to perform essential physical requirements

Job Duties
- prepare a variety of menu items from scratch for cafeteria and catering including soups, roasts, casseroles, sauces, vegetables, salads, sandwiches, and bakery items
- use scratch cooking and baking techniques such as roasting, sauteing, grilling, steaming, proofing, and baking
- improve quality and wellness of foods by researching and testing menu items that fit a wellness profile
- practice safe food handling, ergonomic, and personal safety techniques
- maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area including food storage and preparation areas
- operate and clean kitchen equipment according to safety guidelines
- support menu management by following recipes, providing feedback, monitoring HACCP logs, inventorying supplies, and assessing leftovers
- communicate with customers and servers regarding menu and food preparation
- cover responsibilities of Chef Team Leader when absent
