Job Requirements
- Must have minimum 5-year experience in culinary food service
- Must possess SNHD Health card
- Ability to withstand prolonged standing and mobility
- Ability to perform bending, reaching, pushing, pulling and maneuvering items weighing up to 100 lbs
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to use computer for ordering
- Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Willingness to work in various kitchen environments with noise, temperature and air quality variations
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5-year experience in culinary food service
- Good knife skills
- Understanding of culinary terms and techniques
- Ability to work independently across all kitchen stations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English
- Capable of menu writing and costing
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Prep and execute all menu items according to standards, station, restaurant or kitchen as directed by the Sous Chefs and Chefs
- Oversee kitchens, service, production and line cooks in the absence and in assistance of the Sous Chefs and Chefs
- Able to assess and direct the required work in any kitchens
- Must be capable of writing and costing menus
- Some ordering of food items as directed by the Sous Chefs and Chefs
- Document menu changes, temperatures, meeting information
- Attend meetings when required such as chef meetings, B.E.O meetings, planning meetings
- Must be able to work all stations in any kitchen independently without supervision
- Must be able to follow and execute all recipes without supervision
- Work in a clean, safe and organized manner
- Maintain proper fire and ticket times
- Assist with replacing daily requisitions and rotating and storing them
- Restock dishes and silverware as required
- Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management
