Job Duties

  • Oversee and ensure quality standards for assigned kitchen areas
  • Prioritize daily work schedules with fellow chefs and stages
  • Inspect restaurant supplies at the start of shifts and communicate needs timely
  • Produce foods efficiently and accurately as requested by sous chefs and executive chef
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members
  • Maintain accurate recipe documentation and collaborate in menu development
  • Ensure food is prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, health standards
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure standards
  • Take corrective actions when issues arise
  • Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working condition
  • Attend employee meetings and contribute to idea sessions
  • Provide mentorship to new and less experienced staff
  • Work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
