Job Requirements

  • at least three years of chef de partie or line cook experience
  • relevant experience preferably in French fine dining
  • culinary degree preferred but not mandatory
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • strong knowledge of food safety and quality
  • capability to work under pressure
  • excellent teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • manage one kitchen station such as saucier, hot appetizer, rotisseur, poissonnier, or soupe
  • supervise at least one cook or commis at the station
  • follow instructions from the chef or sous chef regarding menu and station changes
  • read and follow recipes and standards accurately
  • train kitchen staff under supervision
  • maintain health department, food quality, and restaurant standards
  • ensure consistency and presentation of dishes from the station
