Job Requirements
- Combined history of professional hospitality or kitchen experience and culinary training totaling at least 18 months
- Willingness to obtain food safety certification within 6 months if not currently certified
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized and systematic work approach with delegation aptitude
- Proficient technology skills including Microsoft Office
- Consistent punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capacity for heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions
- Capability to use operational tools and equipment
- Willingness to travel for training purposes

Job Duties
- Drive and elevate culinary operational excellence by championing food quality and passion for food culture
- Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market vision and goals
- Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and awareness of industry trends, products and innovation
- Build a positive work environment of teamwork, mutual respect and morale
- Develop, mentor, motivate and train team members for high performance and retention
- Establish standards of service and serve as the voice and face of Prepared Foods
- Manage and expedite food production to ensure quality, presentation, and food safety at the highest levels
- Communicate and execute operational SOPs and regional merchandising standards
- Ensure integrity of all menu implementations and planograms
- Monitor and maintain in-stock levels
- Execute prime deals, promotions and sales initiatives
- Build strong partnerships with store leadership and team buyer
- Prioritize production lists for back of the house
- Ensure compliance for signage and messaging
- Oversee catering order fulfillment
- Coordinate regional culinary tasting events
- Participate in inventory as needed
- Lead by example in promoting hospitality
- Serve as culinary ambassador enhancing guest experience
- Direct team members based on customer flow and needs
- Report to Prepared Foods Team Leader and collaborate with store leadership and regional teams
- Lead and earn trust from leaders, supervisors and team members
