Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to five years culinary experience in a similar role
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Must be able to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be able to lead kitchen staff
  • Must obtain and maintain required licensing or work cards
  • Must possess valid health card
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate in English, read and follow recipes, and complete basic mathematical calculations
  • Three to five years culinary experience in a similar role, preferably in a high volume, luxury hotel or restaurant, scratch-cooking environment
  • Extensive sanitation and culinary knowledge
  • accurate knife skills

  • Ability to work organized and within a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure, be a logical thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through to meet deadlines

  • High volume pastry experience required
  • Culinary training or degree preferred but not required
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Requires a valid health card

Job Duties

  • Responsible for preparing and finishing foods on all stations within the kitchen
  • Meet quality standards, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the work areas and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards
  • Assist the Chef as needed in execution of production
  • Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
  • Maintain accurate inventories while informing management of restocking needs to prevent product shortages
  • Notify chef on duty prior to end of shift if unable to complete assigned task(s) within allotted time
