Job Requirements

  • Three to five years cooking experience
  • prior hotel and restaurant cooking experience preferred
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • good communication skills
  • attention to detail
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • physical stamina to perform required activities

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years cooking experience

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items according to recipe cards and correct handling procedures
  • maintain highest quality and appearance of all foods sent from kitchen
  • maintain proper pars of production levels according to estimates
  • use leftovers and maintain proper storage of leftovers
  • label and date all food
  • maintain clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas
  • rotate all foods and correctly fill out production charts
  • coordinate and expedite service during peak periods
  • assist Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • perform other duties such as moving supplies and equipment and cleaning spills
  • randomly taste prepared dishes to ensure quality
  • inspect all food plates before serving
