Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar culinary role
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in culinary arts is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of culinary operations and kitchen management
- Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a culinary team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to engage with guests and team members
- Proficient in menu development and financial performance management
Job Duties
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure food quality standards
- Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster a collaborative team environment
- Develop and innovate menus featuring locally-sourced and organic ingredients
- Maintain consistent communication with front-of-house and management teams
- Manage inventory and ensure efficient use of supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Contribute to financial performance through cost control and waste reduction
