Job Requirements

  • Combined history of minimum 18 months professional hospitality or kitchen experience and culinary training
  • Ability to teach and develop others constructively and positively
  • Organized and systematic approach with prioritization and delegation skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational abilities
  • True passion for food
  • Food safety certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Consistent punctuality

Job Duties

  • Drive and elevate culinary operational excellence by championing food quality and passion for food culture
  • Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market vision and goals
  • Build a positive work environment fostering teamwork, respect, and morale
  • Develop, mentor, motivate, and train team members for high performance and retention
  • Manage and expedite food production ensuring quality, presentation, and food safety
  • Execute operational and store standard operating procedures and merchandising standards
  • Ensure integrity of menu implementations and merchandising planograms
  • Monitor and maintain in-stock levels and execute promotions and Prime Deals
  • Build strong partnerships with store leadership and team buyers
  • Organize and prioritize production schedules for the back of house
  • Ensure compliance with signage and messaging
  • Oversee catering order fulfillment and coordinate regional culinary event tastings
  • Lead in promoting hospitality and elevate guest in-store experience
  • Maintain awareness of customer flow and direct team members to satisfy and delight customers
