Job Qualifications

- strong understanding of food safety, health regulations, and sanitation practices
- ability to prepare meals efficiently under time pressure while maintaining quality and nutrition
- strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
- excellent communication skills and a caring, patient demeanor
- flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- culinary qualifications such as Rouxbe, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent preferred but not required
- ability to read and understand policy and procedure documents
- ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present meals according to dietary guidelines, special requests, and nutritional needs
- assist with marinating, cutting, and precooking foods
- complete daily food preparation and duties assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Chef
- ensure adequacy of supplies at cooking stations
- assure cleaning duties are performed and enforce clean as you go
- properly store, label, cover, and date food in refrigerators and walk-ins
- maintain personal hygiene and comply with dress code
- attend in-service training and assist in on-the-job training for new personnel
- report to work as scheduled with excellent attendance
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
