Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of professional hospitality or kitchen experience combined with culinary training
- Food safety certification or commitment to complete within 6 months
- Ability to teach and develop others positively
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and delegate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for food and culinary excellence
- Flexible availability for nights, weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Consistent punctuality and reliability

Job Duties
- Drive and elevate culinary operational excellence by championing food quality and promoting a passion for food culture
- Consistently communicate and model Whole Foods Market vision and goals
- Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and awareness of industry trends and innovation
- Build a positive work environment with outstanding teamwork, respect, and morale
- Develop, mentor, motivate and train team members to sustain high performance and retention
- Manage and expedite production within Prepared Foods ensuring quality, presentation and food safety
- Execute operational SOPs, store processes and regional merchandising standards
- Ensure integrity of menu implementations and planograms
- Monitor and maintain in-stock levels
- Execute all Prime deals, promotions and sales initiatives
- Build strong partnerships and communication with store leadership and team buyer
- Organize work systematically and delegate responsibilities efficiently
- Prioritize production lists for back of the house
- Maintain highest standards and conditions for walk-ins
- Ensure compliance for signage and messaging
- Oversee Prepared Foods catering order fulfillment
- Coordinate regional culinary tasting events
- Participate in inventory as needed
- Lead by example in promoting hospitality to all guests
- Serve as culinary ambassador and elevate guests' in-store experience
- Maintain awareness of customer flows and direct team members accordingly
