Job Requirements

  • At least three years of experience as a restaurant chef
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Experience managing unionized teams
  • Ability to develop and mentor team members
  • Full availability for all shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to perform budget and forecasting tasks

Job Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience as a restaurant chef
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proven success in menu development and concepting
  • Experience managing unionized teams preferred
  • Familiarity with Hilton brand and similarly sized properties preferred
  • Ability to lead and mentor culinary team
  • Full availability to support all shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead daily culinary production including meal preparation, food quality, and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards and regulations
  • Manage team productivity, performance, cost controls, and profitability
  • Perform general management duties such as systems management, budgeting, forecasting, and report generation
  • Visually inspect and select quality food and beverage products including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, and spices
  • Create and implement new menus and individual food items
  • Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, scheduling, and delivering recognition
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members
