Job Requirements

  • Full availability to support all shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to manage scheduling operations
  • Experience in a similar role within hotel or restaurant settings
  • Strong knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to maintain cost controls and profitability
  • Experience with budget and forecasting
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Willingness to mentor and develop team members
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience as a restaurant chef
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proven success in menu development and concepting
  • Experience managing unionized teams
  • Familiarity with the Hilton brand preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to drive team development through coaching and mentorship

Job Duties

  • Lead daily culinary production including preparation and production of meals, food quality and presentation, safety and sanitation compliance, team member productivity and performance, cost controls and profitability
  • Perform general management duties such as systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management, and meeting participation
  • Visually inspect and select quality food and beverage products including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, and spices
  • Create and implement new menus and individual food items
  • Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, scheduling, and recognition
  • Recruit, interview, and train team members
