Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of culinary experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience
- Proven leadership experience in upscale or luxury hotel kitchens
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent skills in menu planning and food preparation
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse culinary team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of all hotel meals and food quality
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards and regulations
- Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, and training
- Interact with guests and clients to monitor satisfaction trends and address issues
- Stay current on food trends, techniques, and regional tastes
- Implement cost controls and policies to ensure financial profitability
- Manage scheduling and assign work to kitchen staff
