Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Several years of professional culinary experience
- Experience in hotel or luxury hospitality environment preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to food safety and quality standards
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in a senior culinary leadership role
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to innovate and stay current with culinary trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with cost control and budgeting in culinary operations
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and profitability
- Interact with guests and clients to monitor and assess satisfaction trends, evaluate issues and make improvements
- Stay abreast of current food trends, techniques, and regional tastes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
- Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling and recognition
