Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety laws and regulations
  • Skills in menu development and food presentation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage kitchen budget and operations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintains food preparation handling and storage standards
  • Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements
  • Assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items
  • Supervises and coordinates activities of kitchen staff
  • Manages employee training, performance, and discipline
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation and food safety regulations
  • Provides exceptional customer service and handles guest complaints
  • Manages kitchen goals including performance and budget targets
