Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 to 7 years culinary experience
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in a kitchen
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage schedules and production plans
- Knowledge of recipe management and procurement
- Flexibility to work varied shifts
- Computer literacy
- Experience with luxury resort or banquet operations preferred
Job Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years cooking and culinary experience
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a kitchen, hotel experience preferred
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Computer literacy
- Experience in scheduling, production planning, recipe management, procurement and inventory control
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in luxury resort, payroll and banquet settings is a plus
Job Duties
- Lead daily culinary production including meal preparation, food quality, presentation and compliance with safety standards
- Manage team member productivity and performance
- Control food costs and overall kitchen profitability
- Perform general management duties such as budget forecasting, systems management and report generation
- Visually inspect and select quality food products
- Create and implement new menus and individual food items
- Recruit, interview, develop and train team members
- Schedule and assign work
- Conduct performance evaluations and deliver recognition
