Job Requirements

  • 5-7 years culinary experience
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory kitchen experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Scheduling and production planning experience
  • Recipe management skills
  • Procurement and inventory management experience
  • Open availability
  • Flexible schedule adherence
  • Hotel experience highly preferred
  • Luxury resort, payroll and banquet experience is beneficial

Job Qualifications

  • 5-7 years cooking or culinary experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in scheduling, production planning, recipe management, procurement and inventory management
  • Ability to liaise between team members and upper management
  • Open availability and ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Luxury resort, payroll and banquet experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Lead daily culinary production including meal preparation and production, ensure food quality and presentation, ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, monitor team member productivity and performance, manage cost controls and profitability
  • Perform general management duties such as systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management and meeting participation
  • Inspect, select and use quality food and beverage products including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and spices
  • Create and implement new menus and individual food items
  • Monitor and develop team member performance including supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, scheduling, assigning work, recognition and reward
  • Recruit, interview, develop and train team members
