Job Requirements

  • total of 5-7 years cooking and culinary experience
  • minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen
  • excellent communication and time management skills
  • computer literacy
  • ability to liaise between team members and upper management
  • experience in scheduling, production planning, recipe management, building order guides, procurement and managing inventory
  • open availability and ability to work flexible schedule
  • luxury resort experience is preferred
  • experience with banquet and high volume payroll operations is a plus

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Lead daily culinary production including meal preparation, food quality and presentation, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  • Perform general management duties such as systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management, and meeting participation
  • Visually inspect and select quality food and beverage products including fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, and spices
  • Create and implement new menus and individual food items
  • Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, scheduling, and recognition
  • Recruit, interview, develop, and train team members
  • Manage cost controls and overall profitability of culinary operations
