Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in high-volume, upscale-casual restaurants
  • at least 2 years of high-volume restaurant experience in a Chef-de-Cuisine, or equivalent, role
  • a Bachelor's degree in the Culinary Arts, or equivalent work experience
  • advanced knife skills and familiarity with all culinary techniques (grilling, roasting, braising, sautéing, baking, etc.)
  • extensive culinary knowledge, including seasonal ingredient expertise, flavor pairing, and presentation techniques
  • previous experience with wood-fired cooking, a major plus
  • must have a current ServSafe Manager Certification
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • must have open availability - including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • must have the ability to regularly work 50-ish hours per week
  • physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and keep up with the pace of busy kitchen
  • must have a valid driver's license and sole access to a personal vehicle
  • familiarity with Toast, 7Shifts, and Margin Edge, a major plus

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Hire and develop a high-performing kitchen team
  • ensure consistent five-star food quality
  • maintain a squeaky clean and organized kitchen
  • control food and labor costs close to ideal targets
  • collaborate on menu innovation with the executive chef
  • mentor and manage kitchen staff
  • oversee kitchen operations during busiest shifts and special events
