Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of culinary or kitchen management experience
- ServSafe certification
- Ability to manage high-volume culinary operations
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate preferred
- 2-5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering and large-scale banquet production experience
- Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food quality, sanitation, and cost controls
- Experience in batch or high-volume cooking environments
- ServSafe certification required
Job Duties
- Oversee day-to-day culinary production and operations
- Serve as acting department head when the Executive Chef is unavailable
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu development, inventory, ordering, and food cost control
- Support training, coaching, and development of culinary staff
- Participate in hiring, performance management, and corrective actions
- Execute high-volume and catering/banquet food production as needed
