Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Serv Safe certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of culinary management experience required
  • Ability to work extended periods standing, walking and performing physical tasks
  • Capability to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in wet, hot and humid conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow food safety and handling protocols
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced changing work environments
  • Commitment to upholding company diversity and inclusion policies

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent work experience
  • Serv Safe certification
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in a culinary environment
  • Proficient knowledge of purchasing
  • Knowledge of high-volume production
  • Understanding of food safety and restaurant guidelines
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Spanish language skills a plus
  • Knowledge of a variety of cooking techniques including baking, broiling, grilling, sautéing, roasting, and blanching
  • Experience in guest-facing roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle difficult customer or employee situations
  • Adaptability to stressful and changing environments
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Effective communication with restaurant management and executive chef

Job Duties

  • Oversee the financial success of culinary operations
  • Manage ordering, receiving, delivery and rotation of food items
  • Produce weekly staff schedules according to budget and forecasted numbers
  • Ensure all daily opening procedures are followed
  • Maintain consistency of product using training guides
  • Promote proper food safety and handling protocols
  • Complete and assign daily production and preparation lists
  • Contribute to the creation of fresh and innovative daily specials
  • Participate actively on the service line as required
  • Oversee daily kitchen closing and cleaning procedures
  • Complete and submit monthly inventory accurately
  • Manage proper payroll procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
