Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher
  • Culinary degree or ACF certification preferred
  • Serve Safe Manager certification
  • Advanced knowledge of specialized culinary practices
  • Ability to determine course of action based on policies and procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of culinary practices and techniques
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to contribute to menu development and cost control

Job Duties

  • Assist in periodic food inventories
  • Communicate and oversee food and supplies ordering
  • Supervise and coordinate production of food according to menu specifications and culinary training
  • Assist the chefs and cooks in preparation of certain cuisine
  • Inspect quality of food products and inform chef when quality is not acceptable
  • Ensure all cuisine served to guests follow established guidelines for portions, quantities, quality, appearance, and palatability
  • Check physical cleanliness of operations and ensure all staff practice clean as you go techniques
