Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience in high-volume culinary leadership or equivalent culinary education
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and stoop during shifts
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • Ability to operate efficiently in fast-paced, crowded, and noisy settings

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2 years of high-volume culinary leadership experience or culinary degree
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, and stoop throughout the shift
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in crowded or noisy environments

Job Duties

  • Manage daily kitchen operations and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Delegate tasks to sous chefs, specialty cooks, prep cooks, and line cooks
  • Coordinate kitchen team during meal preparation and services
  • Plan food menus according to restaurant guidelines and seasonality
  • Monitor food quality and quantity served to guests
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Manage relationships with suppliers
  • Oversee menu development, revision, ordering, and inventory control
  • Prepare all food items according to standard recipes for consistency
  • Apply cooking techniques including cutting, dicing, baking, roasting, braising, grilling, and skillet work
  • Supervise preparation and cooking for banquet events
  • Develop and implement creative menu items for restaurants and banquets
