Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years experience in high-volume culinary leadership or equivalent culinary education
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven leadership and motivational skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations
- Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and stoop during shifts
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to maintain accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to operate efficiently in fast-paced, crowded, and noisy settings
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 2 years of high-volume culinary leadership experience or culinary degree
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Ability to work at a fast pace in crowded or noisy environments
Job Duties
- Manage daily kitchen operations and maintain kitchen equipment
- Delegate tasks to sous chefs, specialty cooks, prep cooks, and line cooks
- Coordinate kitchen team during meal preparation and services
- Plan food menus according to restaurant guidelines and seasonality
- Monitor food quality and quantity served to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
- Manage relationships with suppliers
- Oversee menu development, revision, ordering, and inventory control
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes for consistency
- Apply cooking techniques including cutting, dicing, baking, roasting, braising, grilling, and skillet work
- Supervise preparation and cooking for banquet events
- Develop and implement creative menu items for restaurants and banquets
