Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of relevant experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including grasping, reaching, bending, lifting, and kneeling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and certifications

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and facilitate food preparation, presentation, and service procedures as directed by the Executive Chef
  • Monitor quality and quantity of prepared food
  • Ensure proper rotation and utilization of stored food to prevent waste
  • Monitor employee performance, provide instruction as needed, and monitor staffing levels
  • Facilitate food preparation, presentation, and service alongside kitchen staff
  • Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency, flavor, presentation, and portion control
  • Manage staffing levels, early out requests, and overtime
  • Monitor kitchen and storage areas to maintain cleanliness and meet health and safety standards
  • Delegate work assignments to kitchen staff
  • Administer disciplinary action and instruct employees in job duties
  • Requisition stock according to business needs
  • Maintain kitchen and related areas free of safety hazards
