Job Requirements
- Two years of experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
- Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred
- Food Handler Certification
- Alcohol Awareness Certification if applicable
- Strong team coordination and management skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in relevant software applications
- Passion for hospitality and team leadership
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years experience in a similar or supportive kitchen management role
- Degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred
- Food Handler Certification required
- Alcohol Awareness Certification if applicable
- Ability to coordinate and manage a team while handling multiple priorities under tight timelines
- Capable of learning and presenting product, menu, and allergy information
- Knowledge or quick learning ability of financial and business metrics related to restaurant operations
- Advanced knowledge of culinary arts, including oenology, pastry, banquet, and in-room dining preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, restaurant POS systems, inventory management, procurement software, payroll, and accounting software may be required
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent knife skills and product knowledge
- Passion for the hospitality industry and team building
Job Duties
- Build menus and design corresponding recipes
- Coordinate the preparation of recipes
- Lead all kitchen employees
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Appraise performance
- Reward and coach employees
- Address complaints and problem solve
- Participate in service education through line-ups, menu meetings, and new staff training programs
- Track kitchen inventory
- Place orders
- Monitor equipment maintenance and condition
- Ensure kitchen operations comply with state and federal health and safety codes
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed
