Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- one to two years of employment experience in a related position
- advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
- ability to manage kitchen staff and operations
- physical ability to lift, push, pull, carry, bend, stand for long periods, and work in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- moderate hearing and excellent vision
- literacy to read records and special requests
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
- experience managing people and complex food and beverage operations
- ability to develop, empower, and coach kitchen staff
- knowledge of franchise standards and regulatory requirements
Job Duties
- Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurant(s) and room service to ensure a quality, consistent product
- manage human resources in the production and preparation areas of the kitchen including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, coaching and performance reviews
- schedule and manage the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- monitor, analyze and control all labor and food costs while preparing reports, charts and schedules to meet budgets
- promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
