Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • one to two years of employment experience in a related position
  • advanced knowledge of food profession principles and practices
  • ability to manage kitchen staff and operations
  • physical ability to lift, push, pull, carry, bend, stand for long periods, and work in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit
  • moderate hearing and excellent vision
  • literacy to read records and special requests

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
  • experience managing people and complex food and beverage operations
  • ability to develop, empower, and coach kitchen staff
  • knowledge of franchise standards and regulatory requirements

Job Duties

  • Manage the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurant(s) and room service to ensure a quality, consistent product
  • manage human resources in the production and preparation areas of the kitchen including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, coaching and performance reviews
  • schedule and manage the maintenance and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • monitor, analyze and control all labor and food costs while preparing reports, charts and schedules to meet budgets
  • promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
