Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A.O.S. degree or culinary certificate preferred
- Three to five years of culinary experience preferred
- Two to five years of culinary or kitchen management experience
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety standards
- Ability to manage kitchen staff and culinary operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate
- Three to five years of culinary experience preferred
- Two to five years of culinary/kitchen management experience depending on formal education
- Catering experience
- Knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost control, and presentation
- Batch cooking or high volume cooking experience
- ServSafe certified
Job Duties
- Oversee successful culinary production operations under the Executive Chef's direction
- Serve as department head for culinary operations during Executive Chef's absence
- Adhere to HACCP guidelines ensuring efficient, safe, and sanitary food production, preparation, and presentation
- Assist in menu development, inventory management, ordering, purchasing, and food cost controls
- Train, counsel, coach, and develop kitchen personnel including hiring and firing
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and food quality
- Manage food production for large catering or banquet functions
