Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of Chef de Cuisine experience
  • Ability to lead and develop teams
  • Skilled in managing BOH systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with inventory and food cost control
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with inventory management and food cost control
  • Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine is a plus
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Lead the opening shift process including food orders, inventory and price updates
  • Receive and store food products ensuring quality
  • Oversee inspections and lead management of menu changes
  • Lead and ensure effective and efficient BOH operations including food prep and cooking
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels of food and supplies
  • Supervise kitchen employees and provide leadership
  • Track and control food cost and manage purchase and order of food products and supplies
  • Partner with General Manager and designated managers or chefs to create prep lists and assign production duties
  • Perform regular line checks to ensure quality of all menu items
  • Regularly review and maintain recipe books with management
  • Ensure effective communication of food production and timing issues between front of house and BOH
  • Interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop BOH employees and teams
  • Model and promote teamwork across all teams
  • Use tact and good judgment in dealing with guests, vendors and employees
  • Work various shifts including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and possible overnight travel
  • Move and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
