Job Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
  • minimum of 2-3 years post-high school education, preferably in culinary arts
  • strong leadership and team management abilities
  • advanced understanding of food industry principles and culinary practices
  • effective verbal, written, and reading communication skills
  • ability to manage kitchen safety, sanitation, and equipment maintenance
  • flexibility to oversee special events and provide culinary demonstrations

Job Qualifications

  • Requires at least 2-3 years in a related position
  • requires at least 2-3 years of post-high school education, preferably a culinary degree
  • requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
  • requires verbal, reading, and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Train and lead kitchen personnel
  • supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities
  • estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • select and develop recipes and standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • oversee special catering events and potentially offer culinary instruction or demonstrate culinary techniques
