Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of professional kitchen leadership experience
  • Proven ability to implement food safety and allergen management practices
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including Monday to Friday primarily
  • Willingness to comply with Bon Appetit’s standards and policies
  • Physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • Commitment to sustainability and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional kitchen leadership experience in high-volume, quality-driven foodservice
  • Demonstrated ability to champion and enhance food and workplace safety culture
  • Passion for culinary excellence and hospitality
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in computer and technical skills including Google Suite
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Managing in a Union Environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • Champion rigorous workplace and food safety standards, including allergen management
  • Strategically design, manage, and take full ownership of the overall guest experience
  • Ensure adherence to menu specifications, production/prep guidelines, and checklists
  • Craft well-balanced meals that nourish and inspire
  • Cultivate and uphold friendly, engaging, and personalized hospitality
  • Lead, mentor, and foster professional development of kitchen staff
  • Ensure timely and accurate adherence to deadlines for payroll, service delivery, accounts receivables, and HR directives
  • Oversee procurement of products and ingredients in line with sustainability standards
