Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of kitchen management experience
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Strong culinary skills and food cost analysis knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
  • Proficient with computer technology and hotel related systems
  • Commitment to uphold health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of high volume kitchen management
  • Experience in catering or banquet management preferred
  • Supervisory experience in food and beverage operations
  • Culinary degree or equivalent education and work experience desirable
  • Proficiency in employee coaching, counseling, and documentation
  • Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety procedures
  • Experience in purchasing, receiving, and inventory control
  • Serve Safe Certification and Allergy Awareness Training preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Technical culinary skills including knife, grill, broiler, sauté, and Expediter skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality meals according to company standards and menu specifications
  • Oversee kitchen staff during all meal periods
  • Maintain and enforce health and food safety programs in compliance with regulations
  • Manage kitchen standard operating procedures, including preparation logs, inventories, and product usage reporting
  • Implement administrative and training programs for staff development
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs to ensure financial prudency
  • Develop menus and programming for all meal periods
  • Maintain health and safety standards in absence of Executive Chef
  • Foster a positive and cohesive team culture focused on quality and profitability
