Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous culinary leadership experience required
  • must be able to work flexible schedules including peak periods
  • knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • ability to comply with OSHA, Health Department, and COVID-19 protocols
  • must have certifications or be willing to obtain Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to manage kitchen inventory and budget
  • must maintain professional appearance and comply with company attendance policies

Job Duties

  • Assign kitchen staff and coordinate food production areas
  • train and supervise kitchen staff
  • ensure compliance with food and beverage policies and procedures
  • maintain adherence to food handling and sanitation standards
  • enforce local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
  • implement SAFETY-COVID-19 protocols
  • interact with guests to obtain feedback
  • solicit associate feedback and maintain open communication
  • maintain kitchen inventory and budget
  • approach guests and employees in a service-oriented manner
  • maintain personal appearance and grooming standards
  • comply with scheduling and attendance requirements
  • ensure certification compliance
  • handle customer problems efficiently
  • minimize spoilage waste and over-production
  • monitor banquet and catering activities
