Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
  • Minimum seven years of progressive culinary leadership experience in high-volume fine dining or luxury hotel environments
  • Proven track record managing large teams
  • Strong knowledge of modern and classical cooking techniques
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage food and labor costs effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining health safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Expertise in both modern and classical techniques with a strong eye for plating and presentation

Job Duties

  • Oversee all back-of-house operations for a high-volume fine dining restaurant ensuring excellence in taste presentation and timing
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to execute seasonal market-driven menus that highlight fresh locally sourced ingredients and align with the restaurant’s established culinary direction
  • Lead mentor and inspire a large culinary team with a focus on creativity consistency and accountability
  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional guest experiences at scale
  • Manage purchasing inventory scheduling and labor costs to meet financial targets
  • Ensure compliance with all health safety and sanitation standards
  • Partner with the front-of-house leadership team to maintain seamless service and communication between kitchen and dining room
  • Support high-profile events chef collaborations and VIP dining experiences hosted within LACMA
