Job Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional training
  • Minimum 7 years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume fine dining or luxury hotel settings
  • Proven management experience leading large culinary teams
  • Strong knowledge of modern and classical cooking techniques
  • Ability to manage food and labor costs effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to manage large teams and deliver consistent results during peak service

  • Collaborative composed and able to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Oversee all back-of-house operations for a high-volume fine dining restaurant ensuring excellence in taste presentation and timing
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to execute seasonal market-driven menus that highlight fresh locally sourced ingredients and align with the restaurant’s culinary direction
  • Lead mentor and inspire a large culinary team focusing on creativity consistency and accountability
  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional guest experiences at scale
  • Manage purchasing inventory scheduling and labor costs to meet financial targets
  • Ensure compliance with all health safety and sanitation standards
  • Partner with front-of-house leadership to maintain seamless service and communication between kitchen and dining room
  • Support high-profile events chef collaborations and VIP dining experiences hosted within LACMA
