Job Requirements
- Culinary education and/or equivalent on-the-job training
- Proven experience in kitchen leadership and supervision
- Ability to work evenings and weekends including availability for 1 PM - 10 PM shifts seven days a week
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Experience with training and managing hourly employees
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Successful completion of background check
Job Qualifications
- In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations
- Strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
- Experience with training, basic financial management and customer service
- Proficient in general computer knowledge
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
- Strong training and communication skills
- Culinary education and/or on the job training
- Independent restaurant experience preferred
- Expediting experience and menu writing skills preferred
- Open availability for all days of the week and 1 PM - 10 PM shifts
Job Duties
- Assume the role of liaison between Harry's Place, Stewarding, and In Room Dining operations and culinary staff
- Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
- Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- Manage other key culinary leadership roles including supervisors and less senior sous chefs
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
- Monitor food production, ordering, cost, and quality and consistency on a daily basis
