Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- two years dietary experience
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capable of working in extreme heat and cold temperatures
- must be able to interact effectively with residents and staff
- must be able to follow instructions and comply with dietary procedures and related laws
- willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- culinary arts training a plus
- two years dietary experience
- knowledge of dietary procedures and food service regulations
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- effective interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- review menus prior to preparation of food
- perform administrative duties such as completing forms and reports
- assure all dietary procedures are followed
- operate all kitchen equipment safely and effectively including meat slicers, food processors, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwashers, dumb waiters, and warmer cabinets
- organize walk-in freezer, storeroom, kitchen tables, and counters
- assist in establishing food production line to ensure meals are prepared on time
- prepare and serve nutritious meals ensuring high quality presentations and flavorful food
- represent the community positively when interacting with residents and families
