Job Qualifications

  • Front of house experience
  • Preferred bartending license
  • Preferred ServSafe Food Manager certification
  • Minimum 2 years required experience
  • Minimum 5 years front of house experience
  • Food and beverage experience

Job Duties

  • Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, recommend discipline or termination when appropriate
  • Plan and direct the functions of the food and beverage department to meet operational needs
  • Assign and delegate responsibilities for various food and beverage sub-departments including room service, restaurants, banquets, kitchens, stewarding
  • Review daily menu specials and banquet event orders with kitchen supervisor or lead cook
  • Develop new menu items, test and write recipes, ensure compliance with recipes and yield guides
  • Implement effective control of food, beverage, and labor costs
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate requirements related to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Establish and achieve profit objectives and standards of quality, service, cleanliness, merchandising, and promotion
  • Regularly review and evaluate guest satisfaction levels and recommend changes to improve sales or customer satisfaction
  • Take physical inventory of food items and ensure quality and proper storage
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure departmental standards are met
  • Assist catering department with special menus and client meetings
  • Review sales and food cost daily, resolve discrepancies
  • Develop, implement, and monitor schedules and payroll reports
  • Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
